With the project “Experience-based Business Development” a new and lasting competitive parameter has been brought into focus. To raise above the former parameter of price competition it is decisive that businesses excite the senses of their customers and create commitment.
In the project 45 businesses of the municipalities of Silkeborg, Skanderborg and Favrskov have been given the possibility of entering the experience economy. By participating in the project they will acquire the tools to create growth and improve their competitiveness by exploiting the market potential in the experience economy.
The project “Experience-based Business Development” has two target groups:
- 45 businesses participating in the project
- The local and regional actors working for promotion of trade and industry
The 45 businesses will participate in growth group courses during half a year where they will obtain the tools to create growth through experiences. The project is composed of three separate lines of growth group courses classified according to type of business. The three groups consist of 15 production facilities, 15 retail and wholesale businesses and 15 businesses of knowledge service and consulting. More info on the growth group courses
The purpose of the project as regards the actors working for promotion of trade and industry is to raise the level of consultancy as regards the new challenges brought on by the potentials of the experience economy.
The project is conducted as a collaboration of the municipalities of Silkeborg, Skanderborg and Favrskov and is financed by the three municipalities together with the Region Midtjylland and the European Regional Development Fund.
The project is managed by Development Consultant of Silkeborg Municipality, Jeppe Keller Jensen, while Vibeke Guldborg Breuerbach from Capacent is in charge of the conduct of proceedings.
