growth group courses

The growth group courses consist in five workshops of intensive education, brief presentations, practical exercises and exchange of experiences between the companies participating in the project. The general idea is to provide the participants with concrete tools helping them to create experience-based business development in practice.

Content of the five workshops:

Workshop 1: “Find the idea that will create growth in your company”

Workshop 2: “From idea to results”

Workshop 3: “Audition – the idea is challenged”

Workshop 4: “Guidance on the development of a prototype”

Workshop 5: “Customer meeting”

Apart from these five workshops a company visit and two network meetings are also included.

The participating companies are divided into the three business sectors mentioned below and each sector has its own period of growth group courses.

  1. Production facilities (October 2008 – March 2009)
  2. Retail and wholesale businesses (February 2009 – June 2009)
  3. Businesses of knowledge and consulting (August 2009 – January 2010)

This categorization of the sectors is to ensure that all the participants can advise and guide each other effectively on the basis of their common knowledge of a certain line of business. Moreover the categorization has also made it possible to place the growth group courses of the three business sectors at a time of the year where each sector has a quiet period.

The aims of the participating business are:

To increase their knowledge and understanding of experience-based business development

To create an idea on how to optimize their own business – and afterwards to realize this idea

To present the idea at an audition and get professional feedback

To develop a new product or service

To test the product or service on potential customers
